With Aetna DMO®, you choose a primary care dentist
(PCD) from Aetna’s network to
provide dental care, and you pay a percentage of covered expenses
at
the time of service. If you receive care from another dentist,
you pay the entire cost out of your own pocket.
When you need
specialty care, you will need to obtain a referral from your
PCD. For orthodontic care, you do not need a referral – you
may visit any network orthodontist.
